The Report Context is the Data Context of the current XML Data Node. The default Context is the Report Data XML Root Node. Data Contexts can be applied to Sections, Groups, Paragraphs, Tables and other Report Items and can be used to drive and build Report Content if the Context Data Nodes can be enumerated.
To apply a Context to a Report Item expand the Context property and specify the Content Type as either a Literal (Constant) or a File. Then define the Context Type as either an XQuery, XML, CSV, JSon or HTML.
Context Types can be either an XQuery as applied to the current Data Context, XML, JSon, CSV or HTML. If the Context Type is an XQuery then an XQuery / XPath expression is Evaluated in the current Report Data Context. If the Context Types are XML, JSon or HTML then Data is read from these Contexts allowing Data to be used and read into the Report Context from other Data Sources such as API's etc.
The Report Context Content Type can be either a Literal or a File. If the Content Type is a File for the Report Context then it is read from the specified URI.
The URI Query for the Report Context can be an XQuery expression to specify the location of the URI. If the Value Type is a literal the URI location will be determined from the URI property. If the Value Type is XQuery the URI location will be determined from the URI Query.
XML namespaces are used for providing uniquely named elements and attributes. If the Data Source contains Namespaces they can be applied to the XQuery Processor.
