Indigo Scape is an Internet Management and Security Software System for Microsoft Windows®. It is compatible with all versions of Windows® and is designed and optimized for Network use although it can also be used on standalone computers including laptops.

Indigo Scape centralizes the management of Internet Use and resources to a single Network based location to deliver optimal Security and User Management. Indigo Scape Network clients connect via LAN, WAN or Wireless Networks to the Indigo Scape Database.

Indigo Scape does not require expensive upgrades to existing hardware or software and is designed to fit in with your current infrastructure with a straightforward installation and setup.

Network Setup

An Indigo Scape installation will typically have the Client PC's with Indigo Scape Professional or Standard installed for the end users. Administrators of the Network will each have a copy of Indigo Scape Enterprise installed either on their own Computer or on a dedicated Computer.

The Indigo Scape Central Security Database and Schema contains information on Users, Groups, Approved Websites, Banned Websites, Internet Filters, Website Activity and other Security related details. All Indigo Scape Clients connect to the Indigo Central Database and the System can be managed from any Network location that has Indigo Scape Enterprise installed.

Indigo Scape offers complete centralized network management of all Internet resources allowing optimal control, monitoring and management of Internet use.

Automated setup allows Network Administrators to define setups for single or multiple computers and implement them automatically using configuration files. These can be imported or shared between machines on a Network making large installations much easier and quicker...

Typical Configuration for a Network Installation of Indigo Scape

Network Installations of Indigo Scape require an NTFS File Server to store the Security Data Files and an Administration console or Computer with Indigo Scape Enterprise installed to manage and Administrator the Security for Indigo across the Network for the Client PC's.

Indigo Client Application

Indigo Scape is a client based Internet Management System that uses a shared Security Database with the Indigo Application implementing the Security at the client computer. The Security settings for a particular User are retrieved from the Indigo Central Database when the User Logs on.

Implementing Security at the client has many advantages including greater control and management, more flexible configuration, lower network traffic and a customizable user interface. Furthermore, because the Security settings are stored in the Central Security Database it doesn't matter which client computer the User Logs onto the Security and Interface for that User will be applied to that computer.
